Core Stabilization Exercises
Exercise should have a purpose. For the cave man and woman, exercise meant being able to run faster then the saber tooth tiger with dinner on his mind! Physical fitness or the lack of it back then carried a very different meaning. Today, how we live our life, pursue our passions, spend our leisure time and work depends on our wellness. Exercise for us should focus on preparation for the things we want to do. Never play golf, or tennis to get in shape but rather get in shape to play your sport or favorite activity like keeping up with your kids! What ever you do, what ever your age, the proper exercise and training sets the mark for function, wellness, performance, improvement and pleasure.
If your goal is simply to get your body in great shape, look and feel younger, stand taller, perform better with visibly greater muscle definition and strength, then you can achieve that goal today. Bodyblade provides targeted training and rehabilitation for users in the clinic, sports club or individual setting. Be sure to reference your Bodyblade Exercise Wall Chart for a full range of suggested exercises.
Bodyblade will enhance your sports performance through the power of your core. Improve quickness, balance and accuracy with racquet or club sports by increasing speed or better hand-eye coordination through repetitive rapid muscle contractions. Bodyblade is an excellent low impact workout for seniors, and weekend athletes sharpening the saw to increase the intensity, strength and endurance in their body. Use Bodyblade to train the muscles used in activities such as the martial arts, golf, tennis, baseball, rock climbing, running and man y other sports.

About the Bodyblade
Bodyblade, unlike any other piece of training equipment on the market today uses inertia and your body to provide resistance. All other traditional exercise systems are based on static or gravitational resistance, in which most of the equipment remains fixed in space. Resistance is provided by a stack of weight plates, elastic bands, springs or linear sliding devices, which moves within a specific range or direction (plane). While the number of plates or the thickness of the bands or springs can often be changed, there is no direct relationship between the resistance provided and the strength of the user. Injury is therefore possible through an imbalance of smaller stabilizing muscles when over powered by larger prime movers, overexertion, or poor communication within the neuromuscular system. Bodyblade never sets the resistance prior to beginning the exercise. Resistance is only generated in real time while the user is engaged in exercise.
So how does a flexible member moving back and forth using these principles of inertia translate to resistive exercise and training?
The Bodyblade system of training. is reactive. A device rapidly flexing and changing directions that utilizes inertia to generate up to 270 muscle contractions per minute.
Newton's 3 laws of inertia state:
- An object in motion or at rest remains in motion or at rest until a force acts upon it to start, stop or change its direction.
- Force equals mass x acceleration and
- Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
When you train with Bodyblade, you push and pull on the apparatus, which accelerates the blade and creates a force due to the flex or amplitude of the blade. The greater the flex, the greater the resistance that is needed by the body to counteract the destabilizing forces delivered into the body.
The blade's movement therefore requires the user to contract his or her muscles in order to neutralize these forces. There is also an interaction with gravity or the planet that enhances individual response.
